Dr Jen Blunden

CEO, TPAT (Truro and Penwith Academy Trust)

‘Improving life chances for all’ is the mission of TPAT, the academy trust that Jen has led since 2015 and continues to lead with ambition, professional curiosity and a passion for opportunities to collaborate for children and young people.  Jen has a strong track record of improving schools for communities facing the multiple challenges of poverty and rurality, prioritising work with communities to ensure our schools are places where our children feel safe, feel they belong and feel they can achieve to their full potential.

Outside of Cornwall, Jen is co-chair of the Regional Delivery Partnership, working with the Department for Education to implement the ambition to improve attainment for all children in the South West, especially those children in our more vulnerable communities.  Jen is keen to raise the profile of the work of the South-West Social Mobility Commission and to listen to young people and communities to help to bring partners together towards long term positive change both at a grass-roots level and with policy makers and those implementing policy regionally and nationally.
